Chickahominy River Located in Central Virginia off of the James River is the Chickahominy River. Being on the Chick makes one think they are in the bayou of Louisiana. The cypress trees and the marshy land takes you back and makes you want to forget about civilization. There are 2 marinas on the river, River's Rest and Colonial Harbor. Both of them offer restaurants, gas sales, docks, and much more. River's Rest has a hotel and a pool where people participating in the many fishing tournaments we have can stay. There are many gorgeous homes on the river in Charles City, James City, New Kent Counties and Williasmburg. On a given weekend you can find many boaters enjoying the beaty of the river at the sandbar located between the route 5 bridge and the Brickyard. People play ball with their kids, talk with other boaters and basically just relax and enjoy the gorgeous scenery. Come visit the Chickahominy River!
